Accessing the Server
Flash: Interactive Web Animation
by Ken Kimura

Before you log onto the server make sure you are logged onto your computer as a guest. - Check the dock. If the dock does not have Photoshop, then go to the apple menu, log out and log back in as a guest.

  1. In the finder menu, click “Go.” From the drop down menu select “Connect to Server...”

  2. A “Connect to Server” window will open. From the left column, select “Administration.” A little “wheel” will spin near the bottom right of the window while the computer searches for servers. Once the search is complete a list will appear in the right column. From the right column, click on the server named “LS Server.”

  3. Once the large icon appears in the right column, you can click the “Connect” button at the bottom right of the window.

  4. You will be prompted for you user name and password. Enter your user name and password. Name is not case sensitive but password is.

  5. A new window will open. Select “Student Goods” then click the “OK” button at the bottom right of the window.

  6. If you look on your desktop, a new icon called “Student Goods” will have appeared. Inside this folder is the class folder.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you are finished working, drag the server into the trash can so that the next person working on the computer does not have access to your folder!
