Understanding & Acting on Climate Change

New! UNDERSTANDING & ACTING ON CLIMATE CHANGE

This 4-week course is designed to introduce you to all aspects of climate change. We will cover the basic science; the historical data; current and projected impacts locally, nationally, and globally; the local and national / global solutions currently being implemented, proposed, or researched; and what you can do. Open to all, no prerequisite knowledge required.  Tom Rawson is a retired ECMS 7th/8th grade science teacher with several years' experience teaching about climate change. He has lifelong interests in hiking, cycling, and environmental issues. Tom is a graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury and earned a BA in Biology, MS In Biomathematics, and an M.Ed., as well as professional training on climate change and climate change education through Mass. Audubon, UMass Lowell, and elsewhere.
